A highly recommended resort for Couples!
Making use of the Romance package, we spent a very nice 3 nights and 2 days stay at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino. The package included a very comfortable stay in one of their luxury rooms which was very comfortable indeed. The main thing that caught our attention was the fact that it had a real fireplace installed.
The helpful staff swung into action immediately upon our arrival. They would ask if we needed help even when they were not required to and they went to great lengths to answer all our questions. Another pleasant experience was, that it did not matter who you asked. For example I asked a cleaning staff member for information on the hotel bar and he went off to find out the information I had asked him for before returning to his real duties. So I found the staff to be very helpful. The room was impressive, especially considering its price. It is safe to say it exceeded our expectations with an excellent view of the ocean. Because we got the Romance package we had lots of romantic extras, like Champaign and strawberry covered chocolates.
We had a great massage and just like the hotel staff, the spa staff were very professional and attentive. Of course the massages themselves were excellent as well. Overall, the whole setting of the spa contributed to a very nice atmosphere in general. Another good example of how helpful the staff were is the fact that they came to get us out of the steam room especially to enable us to watch the sunset from their "quiet room".
Dinner was equally good, as were all the other aspects we encountered at this amazing resort. The quality of the dinners and their breakfasts went way beyond what we expected. The restaurant staff were quick and alert. I think from all we tried, the seafood was the best even though they also cook a mean steak. The bistro is adequate for a small bite during the day or evening and for a casino resort the prices were very reasonable indeed. The only downside we thought is the fact that for a casino resort, that is open 24 hours a day, the food should have been equally available, but this is not the case.
Not being much of a gambler, I only tried my hand at some of the slots. As everywhere else in the resort, the staff were helpful and friendly, they took the time explaining the games and showed us around the casino.
The beach area was just excellent and we spent hours there watching the sunset, and we seemed to be the only ones there for a while.
This would not be a good resort to visit with young children as there are no activities for them anywhere at the resort. For adults this place is highly recommended, we don't have much money for extras on holidays but everything we did here was within our budget and we never felt like we had to watch our finances too much.
